Do you have a passion for animals and also a love for being outdoors?
Outdoor Dog Adventures is seeking dog walkers who are committed to providing top-notch care for dogs. Candidates need to have morning to midafternoon availability with a minimum of 10am to 3pm availability required. Some weekends and holidays. Hours vary based on scheduling.
Duties:
• Have a true love for dogs and all animals
• Able to safely walk 1-3 leashed dogs from their home and back even in less than ideal weather conditions
• Utilize positive reinforcement to encourage proper behavior
• Supervise interactions between dogs in multi-dog households and intervene when necessary
• Be alert signs of health problems; inspect for injuries, ticks, etc.
• Use smartphone app to check in and out of visits, write detailed visit reports, and take photos to send to clients
• Respond promptly to texts or emails
Requirements:
• Experienced in caring for dogs and animals alike
• Responsible, reliable, patient, and caring
• Good judgement and decision-making ability
• Excellent customer service skills
• Detail-oriented
• Time management
• Willingness to take direction from others
• Ability to function well as a team member
• Able to work holidays
• Have computer with internet access and email
• Have a reliable smartphone with data plan
• Have a valid driver’s license with clear driving record and possess your own vehicle
• Live in or near our service area
We train our team thoroughly, but it’s a plus if you have:
• An understanding of dog behavior
• Experience with dogs in groups (big or small)
• Training, walking, boarding, or dog daycare experience
• Professional Pet Sitter certification
• Pet 1st Aid and CPR certification
